Middle School - MYP
Inspiring a Lifelong Love of Learning
Our Middle Years Programme (MYP) students in Grade 6 through 10 are encouraged to be responsible global citizens. Students develop their skills, understanding, knowledge, and character to become successful lifelong learners. MYP students take part in a challenging, inquiry-based framework that encourages students to connect through subjects and the real world.
We strive to bring our mission to life for our students, enabling them to acquire the academic abilities and the social-emotional skills needed to accomplish lifelong learning. By fostering a caring environment and strengthening their desire for community, we can nurture each student in growing as an individual, helping them develop their individuality while reflecting upon their learning, implementing an eagerness to take action, and gain a lifelong appreciation of others.

High quality learning ignites curiosity and ensures transformation of concepts into understanding through play, inquiry and experiential learning.
Global Citizenship
Global citizenship is an open-minded and inclusive mindset that encourages responsible and critical understanding of one’s identity, as well as local and global communities. The HJIS community recognizes that our actions can contribute to a peaceful, sustainable and interconnected world.
Digital Citizenship
Digital citizenship is the respectful and balanced use of technology to learn, create and connect responsibly.
