Student Transportation
Providing safe transportation for children to and from school and school-related activities is of top priority to us at HJIS. The school has contracted with a private bus company to provide safe and reliable transportation for HJIS students for an additional fee. Our fleet of buses services a large region that includes nearly all major areas of Yokohama and surrounding neighborhoods.
Bus Capacity
When a school bus reaches its full capacity, wait-lists will be created and students will be able to register for using the bus once a seat becomes available. Students on wait-lists will have priority for seat registration if seats become available within the school year.

In order to ensure the safety of all bus riders, parents and students should become familiar with the bus rules and procedures posted on each bus.

Bus support is available for selected Horizon Japan International School Summer School programs. Families can view the latest Summer School Bus Timetable for details about bus routes, pick-up and drop-off times, availability, and program-specific transportation.
For the HJIS Sport Summer School at YC&AC, students will travel from HJIS to the venue by HJIS school bus in the morning and return to HJIS by school bus at the end of the program each day.
