Our ELC, Horizon Japan International School Sendai, is located in the local area of Sendai City where aged 3-5 students can enjoy relaxing nature and spend school time with experienced teachers/staff who have various backgrounds.
The academic year starts in April and ends in March, the same as other Kindergartens in Japan.

Most of our students are from Japanese families. Some had English language experiences before enrolling in our school. Others had no English language experience but built their language skills after they start school in an English immersion environment. While students are enjoying their school life in English with English-speaking teachers/staff, they are also enjoying building various kind of life-long skills through inquiry based learning and hands on activities.

At our school, students are learning concepts of Math, Science, Language, etc. as well as building fine motor skills through Perceptual Motor Skill Programs.

  Our school is surrounded by beautiful nature. In summer children chase butterflies and hear the birds or insects chirping. In winter they run around in the snow while their cheeks and hands turn a rosy red. For the children every day is full of discoveries through play.
