Students and staff returned from Golden Week refreshed and ready to learn! The Grade 5 class created Solar Ovens to learn more about different energy sources. Previously, the students had to cancel their Action of their last unit of inquiry, but this past Friday they had plenty of sunshine to run their Solar Ovens. The ovens were used to bake S’Mores (a combination of graham crackers, chocolate and marshmallows), which they then served to classmates, staff and even some of our neighbors! Great work Grade 5 in completing this project and in doing so making our Friday a tastier one.
