We had our annual ‘Japanese Culture Day’ on Nov 15th. All students, families, staff, and volunteers gathered together to celebrate this day. At the opening, Taiko performance rose our enthusiasm. Students wore Japanese costumes like Kimono, Yukata and enjoyed “Bon-Odori” dance. We also enjoyed some Japanese activities such as “Karuta”, “Fukuwarai”, “Koma-mawashi”, “Sugoroku” and “Mawari-shogi”. Secondary students led these activities and took care of the primary students very well. Everybody enjoyed eating Japanese traditional sweets “Shiratama” which were prepared by parent volunteers. We would like to thank everyone who attended and we hope you enjoyed it as much as we did.
